Hobby builds. For me, not for clients.

The weekend experiments and personal tools that don't belong on the case-study wall. Some are shipped, some are half-built, all of them exist because I kept sketching the same thing in a notebook until I had to put it somewhere real.

Coffee Dial

Stop buying coffee I'll never drink twice.

Scans a bag of coffee and pulls in every detail about it (origin, roaster, roast date, varietal, tasting notes, process). Then helps me dial the bean in on my exact espresso machine and grinder, brew-method by brew-method, grind-setting by grind-setting. Each pull gets rated so the app learns what I actually like and what I don't, and I stop paying to re-learn the same lesson.

Why it exists

I kept buying bags that looked good on the roaster's site, brewed them a handful of times without really getting them dialed in, decided I didn't love them, and moved on. At $20+ a bag that adds up fast. I wanted something that remembers the bean, the grinder setting, the dose, the brew method, and what I thought about it, so next time I'm at a roaster I know whether I've been here before.

What's in it

  • AI image + text extraction from bag labels
  • Per-machine, per-grinder recipe library
  • Brew-method variables (espresso, pour-over, etc.)
  • Flavor-profile review history
More coming. Most of the good ones start as a note-app scribble at midnight.
