How the math works
The formula is hours × team × 50 × reclaim% × rate , annual hours spent, multiplied by the share a well-built automation typically absorbs, multiplied by your loaded hourly cost.
The reclaim percentages are the important numbers and the easiest ones to fudge. Each workflow's reclaim percentage is set at the low end of what production AI builds typically deliver, not at the marketing-friendly ceiling.
The math uses 50 weeks per year, not 52 — real teams have PTO. Loaded hourly cost means salary + benefits + overhead, not just base pay.
None of this is a guarantee. Treat the output as a back-of-envelope sanity check before scoping the real thing: if the number feels meaningful, the workflow is probably worth a closer look.
